We use no pesticides or other toxins and leave no chemical waste behind, anywhere in our process.
Our products are ethically made, so no child labor or bad working conditions.
To ensure quality and leave a little
as possible CO2 footprint we
produce our garments close by in
Portugal and Spain.
We ship not by
aero transport but by truck, which
has a smaller emission than a plane.
We are working on making
our transport more
environmental friendly.
Instead of using traditional
cars we will be using
electric cars. This will
reduce our CO2 footprint.
From all the energy that is
used for our company
already more than 50% is from sustainable sources such as: water, wind, solar and biomass. In the nearby
future we want all our
energy to come from
sustainable sources.
Our CO2 footprint is at the moment already lower than an average.
A normal company has over 10 KG* of CO2 emission per item.
We only have 12613 kg of CO2 emission on our whole collection. Never the less we are always working on improving
our business. With above changes we want to lower our CO2 emission with at least 20% in the next 5 years.
Our future plans for reducing our CO2 footprint evolve every day.

Traditional cotton is the fiber that
presents the worst environmental
performance, particularly
regarding the use of pesticides,
fertilizers, water and acidification
TENCEL production has almost
no waste. More than 99.5%
of the solvent is recycled

When humid, TENCEL
is 85% stronger than
cotton
TENCEL fiber is
biodegrable
TENCEL is the fiber that presents the
best environmental
performance

Conventional cotton requires 20
times more water to grow than
TENCEL
1 kg of pesticides on conventionally grown cotton infects 1 billion liters of water. TENCEL reduces water consumption by 45% and chemicals by 35%.
recycle chain
As stated before, BumRush will take back and collect the worn down items. Our customers can bring their items to our partner store where we will collect them and in return they will get a 50% discount on their next purchase.
The returned items will be transported to our warehouse where we will store them for one year. The sensors are separated from the garments and checked for their suitability. The garments will be evaluated if they are able to be repaired or not. If they are, we will fix them up in house and resell them through our online store. If they are too damaged we will collaborate with Texperium, a Dutch company which specializes in recycling garments and processing textile waste. Their usual textile recycling chain includes: collection, sorting, processing non-wearable clothing and textiles.
To recycle the sensor we choose to work with Wecycle, also a Dutch company that offers free collecting of your e-waste.
To conclude, BumRush aims to ensure that nothing we use goes to waste and to secure true circularity of all our products.
